Task 2a - User Needs

Pass

A - The Aim

Describe the aim of your audio clip:
How many seconds will your clip be? (Must be at least 45 seconds long)
What will your audio clip be about?
What is the name of the film are you advertising?
What is the film about?
What type of film is it?
What do you hope to achieve?
How will you know if your radio advert has been successful?

Merit

B - The audience

Describe the audience for your audio clip.
Make sure that you use your PEE chain.

You might want to consider:
- age
- gender
- background (what sort of people are they? For example: do they live on a farm, in a town, do they like cars, fishing.... etc)
- family size (for example two parents & two children, one parent & one child etc.)
- income level (rich, poor, average)
- where they live (in the town, countryside, etc)

Describe:
How will you make sure that your clip is suitable for your target audience?
How will you check that your clip is suitable for your audience?

Distinction

C - Thorough description of the Aim and User Needs

When describing the aim and audience of the sound clip at least one side of A4 font size 12 – 14 is used
and a thorough description is given of the sound.

Describe in detail how your clip will be:
Suitable for its purpose
Suitable for the audience

Describe in detail:
The kinds of sound effects you will use
The effects you will use like fades etc
Your choice of background music.

You should justify all of your choices. Use your PEE chain from English to help structure your answers.
